JUNIORS from Droitwich Boxing Academy have been putting the club on the map with some excellent performances around the Midlands despite mixed success.
Fresh off the back of winning a West Midlands Schools’ title by outpointing the previously undefeated Hamzah Ahmed, George Butler, 13, lost narrowly to Greg Lunt from Stoke.
Sian O’Toole, 14, became the fifth female boxer in DABC history to step into the ring in a no-decision skills bout against Sophie Mawhinny from Bootle.
The club scored a notable hat-trick in Tamworth against home town boxers.
Richard Evans, 14, made no mistake in overpowering Reiss Davies. Lewis Smith, 14, saw off Louis Towers and Danny Bridges, 12, claimed victory over Troy Hatherway.
