DROITWICH suffered a 31-11 loss to a more experienced Nuneaton Old Eds side on Saturday in the Midlands Division Two West (South).

Spa conceded four tries to one of the pacesetters, with Bobby Scott-Walker scoring two penalties and Jame Shewell touching down.

Head coach Scott Sturdy said: “I actually though we were better than last week’s loss to Leamington.

“We were held up on the try line four times, so on another day we could have scored more points.

“The team is young, but we starting to find more consistency.”

Defeat means Droitwich are third from bottom in the table.

They have an important game on Saturday, when they go to fellow relegation battlers Old Coventrians.

But Sturdy is hoping to have several players back from injury for what is one of Spa’s most important games of the season.
