BROMSGROVE Sporting boss Adie Mander believes his side could be poised to push on in the Midland Combination Premier.

The Rouslers recorded their fourth win in a row in all competitions on Saturday as Mark Bellingham's brace ensured a 2-0 home win over struggling Racing Club Warwick.

In recent weeks, Mander has reshuffled his squad and further boosted it with the addition of Highgate United defender Adam Daly and Romulus attacker Darius Darkin, who both debuted at the weekend.

But the manager is keen to bolster his goal-scoring options in order to support the in-form Bellingham.

Bromsgrove are fourth in the table but have played three more games than leaders Brocton.

"I think we're going in the right direction," said the manager.

"We've made a few changes and overall I am very happy with the squad we have here.

"I am still looking for a striker and I have a few irons in the fire and hopefully we can bring someone in."

Finding someone to take the goal-scorer pressure off the impressive Belllingham, who has banged in 11 goals in as many games, is a priority.

Mander has backed the 37-year-old to keep up his remarkable form.

He said: "Mark's just a machine, he knows where the goal is and you cannot teach that.

"It's remarkable really and he's also in great shape."

Sporting, who were at home to Worcester Raiders in the Smedley Crooke Memorial Charity Cup last night, will be hoping to record a league double over Lichfield City in Staffordshire on Saturday (3pm ko).

A brace for Matty Poyner and one for Will Tibbetts saw Bromsgrove put Lichfield to the sword at home earlier in the season.

Saturday's opponents are in good form and take on Sporting on the back of a six-game unbeaten run, which has included big wins over Eccleshall and Littleton.

Mander added: "We've won four of the last five matches but now the team needs to settle down a bit and find some consistency.

"If we can string results together we can really push on."
