DROITWICH under-14s are looking to create a piece of club history on Sunday when they clash with Telford Hornets in the North Midlands Cup final.

The young Spa team are hoping to become the first junior team in the club’s history to lift the cup when they clash with their Shropshire rivals at Luctonians’ Mortimer Park ground (11am).

They booked their place in the final after seeing off Worcester 38-0 in the semi-finals.

Spa’s young guns had also defeated Banbury 59-0 and London Irish 60-5.

Coach Adam Drew said: “I’m delighted for the players and they are very excited to reach their first cup final in junior rugby.

“This is a unique milestone as they are aiming to be the first junior team in the clubs history to win the cup.”
