BROMSGROVE booked their place in the quarter-finals of the National Indoor Championships after they beat Newbury 83-72.
The foundations for the weekend’s victory were built in the home rink, as the quartet of Steve Morris, Ray Lowe, Bob Jones and John Cracknell battled back from 14-10 down to win 21-16.
Dave Ellsmore, Peter Davis, Gareth Roberts and Alex McWhinnie also recorded a home 23-13 victory.
In Newbury, Paul Kitchen, Bob Niblock, Mark Sandoz, and Neil Brereton were edged out 23-22 and Ray Kellard, Berrill Everton, Chris Barton and Lew Whitehouse were beaten 20-17 but Bromsgrove had done enough to progress.
They will now meet Exmouth based Exonia on Sunday.
