The sport sees competitors demonstrate their fitness in a gym, known as a box, and is a constantly varied high intensity functional program.

Palama and Orgee, who are also representing CrossFit Worcestershire, will be in action against some of the sport’s top competitors from Europe.

Three hundred of the contintent’s top competitors will be in action in the normal and masters over-40s age categories.

Palama said: “It’s going to be a tough contest as some of the best competitors from Europe will be in action.

“CrossFit is one of the fastest growing fitness programmes in the world, it is very popular in America and now Britain and Europe have really got into it.”
