HOCKEY: Droitwich seconds kicked off 2013 impressively as they disposed of Evesham 5-0 in a friendly clash.
Steve Farr opened the scoring after five minutes, converting from a penalty corner.
Further strikes from Dexter Williamson and Will Chambers extended the lead.
Farr added another from open play after a good move from Alex Brewer.
The second-half saw more resilience from the home team with only one further goal, a second for Chambers scoring after Mitch Oakes’ initial penalty corner strike was well saved by the keeper.
