NEWLY-promoted Droitwich men’s thirds are holding their own in the West Midlands League Division One.
After seven games, Spa have a two-point gap over the sides in the the relegation zone. They won promotion last season by taking second-place in Division Two and started the campaign with victories over Streetly and Bloxwich.
However, they lost 4-2 to Finchfield on Saturday.
The team have been backed by local pub The Riflemans Arms, on Station Street, with landlady Trudy Thomas and her husband Chris sponsoring this season’s kits.
The team presented Mrs Thomas with flowers.
