SAMANTHA Gearey won her race as Bromsgrove Swimming Club competed in the National Arena Swimming League at the Dolphin Centre.

Gearey stormed to victory in the under-15s 100-metre freestyle. She also finished runner-up in the open 200m individual medley and the 100m freestyle.

Bromsgrove finished fifth out of six teams in the competition which saw competitors aged between nine and 44 race.

Bromsgrove’s swimmers kept the pressure on all the way through but against tough competition this was proving difficult.
