Bromsgrove Rovers Supporters Society (BRSS) would like to thank everyone who made donations to our tombola stall and to everyone who had a go on splat the rat, play your cards right, the tombola and not forgetting name the bear at the Elizabethan market.
The name the bear prize of £50 was won by Anthony Taylor, who had chosen the name Ellis. Well done Anthony.
We would also like to congratulate Ralph Gordon and his team for arranging a great day, which was enjoyed by many. For the second time we won The Somers Cup, which will now be on show at the DDS&S club, where we hold our monthly committee meetings. It was a shame not to see as many stalls on display this year, but hopefully next year there will be many more.
It was also wonderful to see and hear the procession of the Court Leet and representative marchers – it is to be admired by all.
We all had a wonderful enjoyable day, the sun was out, there was a real community spirit and it was good to see so many of our members.
We will be back again next year to try and win once again. Long may this fantastic tradition continue. If anybody would like to become a member of the BRSS, or join the committee, and you have one evening a month free, then please get in touch with us.
