I note with interest the picture of two councillors praising the planting of the new hedge in Wheatridge Rd. All fine and dandy but don’t they realise that what appears to be a Laurel Hedge will grow at up to two foot a year once established.

This means that someone is going to have to cut it and clean up at the council’s expense, which means our money. More thought should have gone into the planting of this hedge. Perhaps the two councillors will volunteer their services when cutting time comes around.
