ALTHOUGH we are about to have a fully DDA compliant new station in our town, complete with lifts to allow everyone to catch trains from all platforms, our wonderful council have blundered yet again and decided to place the temporary taxi ranks at the far end of the station road at the top of the hill.
Taxi parking must be available at public transport interchanges, ranks should be clearly marked and as near as possible to the trains.
Disabled and others perhaps not as able, should not be expected to claim a steep hill particularly if in a wheelchair or carrying bags or luggage.
