HERE’S proof there are some decent people about in Bromsgrove as I would like to thank the local taxi company called 577777 Taxis for handing in my son’s mobile phone which had fallen out of his pocket whilst he was using one of their taxis at the weekend.

Thanks to everyone who signed the Fairtrade Bromsgrove petition at the Oxfam bookshop and various churches. The council’s overview and scrutiny board considered it in January and, with a healthy majority, decided to make recommendations to cabinet.

I am trying to trace the history of the Droitwich Spa division of the St John Ambulance. The division originated in March 1935 and has seen many events and members pass through over the years.

AT the blood donor session at the Old Labour Club (now Members’ Club) in Bromsgrove on February 3, the session start, due for 1.30pm, was delayed by an hour because the hall hired by the NHS was well below temperature (blood will not flow properly from cold bodies).
