Cyclist dies in car crash

A CYCLIST has died after he was struck by a car.

A man in his 60s was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash which involved a blue Nissan Micra in Stourbridge Road, Belbroughton, north of Bromsgrove, shortly before 5.30pm yesterday.

A BASICS Doctor, an ambulance crew and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended but could not save his life.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a man who had collided with a car.

“Despite the best efforts of crews, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.” Police are appealing for witnesses to establish what happened. They can call 0300 333 3000 and ask for extension 136.
