KIDDERMINSTER Harriers footballers have put their best foot forward to show support for the British Heart Foundation’s Wyre Forest Jog, which takes place on Sunday.

Michael Briscoe, who plays in central defence for the Harriers, said: “As professional football players we know the importance of looking after our hearts, so it makes sense for us to show our support to the BHF and the fantastic work it does.”

Taking place in the Wyre Forest, the jog has a 5K and 10K route, enabling people of all ages and abilities to take part. Registration costs £10 for adults and £5 for children. Entries on the day will be available at £15 for adults, with registration opening at 9am and the event starting at 11am.

Jemma Curran, regional event organiser for the BHF, said: “We’ve had a great response so far, but with just one week to go we still have places left to fill. We’re aiming for this event to raise £30,000 towards our vital, life-saving work.”
