WE all want our NHS to succeed – we want to be able to tell stories about the great care that we, or a friend or relative, received at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

But the sad truth is that many people have bad experiences at the Royal due to the simple fact that the A&E currently isn't big enough, and doesn't have enough staff, to consistently cope with the demand from patients.

As Worcester's newspaper, we have a duty to hold the managers who run our hospital to account. We cannot ignore the people who come to us with horror stories of their experience at the Royal.

When readers approach us with positive tales of their treatment, we tell their story. But not many people come forward.

So we are asking the public to contact us if they want to praise the Royal for the care they, a friend or relative received.

Nurses, doctors and other staff – we want your stories too.

I come from a family of NHS workers; I know how dedicated staff are and how difficult their job has become. Let's give them the praise they deserve.
