FOR many it was the perfect opportunity to relive the 90s and naughties with hitmakers Gabrielle, Chesney Hawkes and East 17 amongst the star-studded line-up at PopFest 2018.

The sun was shining and crowds descended on Worcestershire County Cricket Club in Blackfinch New Road.

The outdoor event provided music-lovers with 12 hours of non-stop music from the 90s and 00s with DJs performing classic hits between each act.

Tess Clarke, of Warndon, who attended the event with her family, said: "I am so excited to Gabrielle.

"My favourite song is Dreams."

She added: "It is nice to have something like this happening in Worcester.

"It would be nice for more things to happen in Worcester as normally you have to travel to Birmingham - so it’s nice to stay in your local city really."

Her daughter Gemma Clarke said she was ready to dance along to S Club Three but was also excited for chart-topping Gabrielle.

Becky Ireson, of Stourport, said she was excited for East 17 with her favourite song being Stay Another Day, which became Christmas number one of 1994.

The big 90s music fan added: "It is a really nice day for it."

Laura Venables, of St Peter’s, was at the venue with her pal Meg Stanley of Great Malvern.

The 29-year-old said: "I am looking forward to it all really.

"It is the music I grew up with."

Other headliners included Louise Redknapp, who has has sold over five million records worldwide, and S Club, now known as S Club Three, consisting of Jo O’Meara, Tina Barrett and Bradley McIntosh, Boyzlife, which includes Brian McFadden of Westlife, and Keith Duffy of Boyzone, and Saturday Night hitmaker 90s favourite Whigfield, from Denmark.

Ahead of the event, posting on Twitter Louise Redknapp said: "Looking forward to performing at Popfest and taking it right back to the 90s."
