A BUSY city centre street was closed to allow workers to repair a water leak.
Severn Trent Water is now resurfacing Foregate Street, in Worcester, after the water pipe broke on Monday.
Engineers fixed the main on Tuesday night and the final works are due to be completed on Sunday.
Part of the road is still closed with traffic diverted into the bus lane at times. Bus diversions remain in place.
A Severn Trent spokesman said: "The burst pipe in Foregate Street has now been repaired and our engineers are currently working to get the road reinstated and resurfaced.
"As soon as that’s complete we’ll be able to get the road back open as usual.
"We’re sorry for the inconvenience this has caused and we want to thank everyone in Worcester for their patience while the pipe was repaired."
