A POPULAR school fireworks display is set to go ahead despite continuing building works.

Red Hill Primary School in Midhurst Close will host a fireworks extravaganza on Friday November 3 with gates opening at 6pm and the pyrotechnics beginning at 7pm.

There will be a barbecue with burgers and sausages, a bar and refreshments as well as bonfire night favourites toffee apples, popcorn and candy floss. Visitors will be able to choose from glow sticks and novelty items as well as neon face painting, all to raise school funds.

Head teacher Spencer Morris said: "We are looking forward to our annual firework display, which is one of the highlights of the Red Hill year."

Kerry Ward, chairman of the Friends of Red Hill said: "This year the fireworks promised to be as spectacular as last year. We look forward to seeing lots of people."

The school is being transformed into a 2-tier entry school and with a new building appearing, work is continuing. This will not hinder this year's display however.

The school have gained sponsorship from Enterprise Retirement Living (ERL), Worcester Eye Care, Building Contractors Interclass and Sutcliffe and Co Insurance Brokers.

Tickets are now available and will only be available pre-event from the school office or by contacting friendsofredhill@gmail.com it is £5 for adults, £3.00 for children, under 4’s go free and all are welcome.
