A new 50p charity shop in aid of New Hope Worcester will be opening next Saturday (August 5).

The grand opening by Worcester tribute act Blobbie Williams will take place at 25 Lichfield Avenue, Ronkswood, Worcester at 11am.

It is the second New Hope shop to open in Worcester after the first in Tolladine celebrated it's one year anniversary in May.

The shop are looking for donations of men's, women's and children's clothes as well as bric-a-brac, toys, CDs, DVDs and small furniture. Electrical items cannot be accepted.

Jean Wilson, said: "We always need an extra pair of hands so any volunteers are always welcome.

"We've just taken on an apprentice so it's great that we can give them some retail experience. She's been working at our Tolladine shop and will move over to the new one when we open."

Money raised at the shop will help fund the activities carried out by the charity, which has a day centre in Wells Road, Ronkswood.
