MALCOLM Dare, a popular Malvern driving instructor for 30 years, has passed away peacefully at Perrins Nursing Home.

Mr Dare started his driving school following his retirement after 23 years' service from the armed forces.

He taught thousands of local residents to drive and was know for his generous nature, calmness and kindness.

He often would not charge if someone was struggling financially and always kept his prices low to help those young people who wanted to learn.

He retired and sold his driving school at the age of 70.

Since his passing on Monday, his family have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love for him from not only his army colleagues but many of his ex-pupils.

The family has been sent hundreds of messages and tales of him as a driving instructor.

Whilst arrangements for Mr Dare's funeral have not yet been confirmed, the family would like to ensure that former pupils know that they are very welcome to come and pay their respects.
