A MAN has admitted threatening a police officer with a knife in a Worcester street.
A section of Sidbury was closed off for more than three hours on Saturday, March 25, this year and at one time 10 police vehicles were on the scene before Adam Merry was arrested.
Merry, aged 26, of Rodborough Drive, Warndon, pleaded guilty to threatening another person with a knife when he appeared at Worcester Crown Court on Monday, April 24.
Jason Patel, defending, said Merry had been on remand in prison but was likely to be moved to a hospital unit.
Psychiatric and pre-sentence reports were ordered and he is due to return to court for sentencing on Monday, June 5.
