THE Malvern Soup community fund-raising event is coming back to Malvern Cube this weekend.

Malvern Soup allows people who come to the event, for a suggested donation of £4, to get not only a cup of home-made soup and entertainment, but also the chance to vote for one of the projects pitching at the event to receive the donations taken on the door.

The projects pitching for funds this time will include MappFest, the a free music festival, which itself raises funds for local charities including Malvern Hills NCT and Heartstart Malvern.

People coming to the event are also asked to bring-and-share food to enjoy together along with the soup.

Founder Chris Reed is looking forward to another successful event.

He said: "we're really happy to be putting on our third Soup. The first two events have raised funds for winners Kaleidoscope and Comet Group but the projects that didn't win have also told us that they found the experience rewarding. It's been great to see people coming together and making connections."

The events is at the Cube, in Albert Park Road, on Sunday, April 2, from 3pm to 6pm.
