A LANE closure on a busy city centre road has been causing delays for drivers.
A section of Deansway, in Worcester, at the junction with All Saints Road, is temporarily shut while work takes place to refurbish traffic signals.
Worcestershire County Council, which is carrying out the repairs, says the lane will only be shut between 9.30am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday to avoid "peak hours".
However, the closure has caused traffic to back up along Deansway today (Wednesday), as vehicles queue to go through the traffic lights.
The County Council has said there will be no lane closure in place next week, however work will continue from the footpath.
The work is expected to continue until January.
