THIEVES broke into a room in a church near Worcester and stole the contents of a collection tin.
The theft at St John the Baptist Church, White Ladies Aston took place between 3.30pm on Sunday and 3.45pm on Wednesday.
There were no signs of a forced entry at the external door of the church so it is believed the thieves entered while it was unlocked.
Once inside, the locked internal door into the vestry has been kicked in where a strongbox has been broken into and the key to the safe taken from it.
The safe was unlocked using the key and the collection tin inside emptied and the contents stolen.
Nothing else was taken.
