FAMILIES can enjoy a range of free activities when an Upton Warren adventure centre holds an open day.

Aztec Adventure Upton Warren is inviting people to try out the activities, including sailing, katakanu, peddle boats, climbing, archery and pamper pole, on the open day being held on Saturday, May 14.

As well as water based activities the centre, off Worcester Road, also has 20 acres for land activities, such as a tunnel complex, bush craft, and a high and low ropes course.

The open day is being held as part of Royal Yachting Association's nationwide event that sees hundreds of sailing clubs and centres across the country opening their gates for people to have a go at sailing.

Activities are suitable for six-year-olds up to adults, provided the safety activity fits correctly, with all of them limited to short taster periods, and on a first-come-first-served basis.

Although activities are free, donations to two chosen charities - Acorns and Midlands Air Ambulance Charity - are being welcomed.

The Boat Shack Cafe will be open as normal, and there will also be a BBQ.

Aztec Adventure Upton Warren’s manager, Alistair Hodgson, said: “We are inviting the local community to come down to our site, have a go at as many of the activities as they would like, see what we have to offer and get involved."
