WORCESTER may be hotter than Ibiza this weekend - but children hoping to cool off in the splashpad will have to wait a little longer.
Worcester City Council said the water feature on Gheluvelt Park will remain closed because of vital repair work to the water tank.
They apologised and added that the popular feature will be back in action as soon as possible.
"We’re sorry to report the Splashpad in Gheluvelt Park remains closed for vital repairs to the damaged underground water tank.
"We’re working hard to get this fixed as quickly as possible, and we’re hoping the Splashpad will re-open early next month.
"We’re sorry for the inconvenience – especially as the weather is so good."
