A GROUP of Worcester teenagers taking part in a scheme helping them gain useful skills while making a difference in the community have arranged a series of fundraising activities.

A National Citizen Service group based at the YMCA in Henwick Road, Worcester, have arranged a quiz night in aid of New Hope Worcestershire – a charity working with families who have children with disabilities or complex health needs.

As well as the event at the YMCA on Sunday, September 6, the team will also be selling some delicious cakes at the Ketch Car Boot the following Sunday, September 13, with proceeds going towards the Worcester Food Bank, and will attempt a 24-hour cycle for Barnardos starting on Saturday, September 26.

The National Citizen Service scheme is a government-run programme for youngsters aged between 15 and 17, helping them learn useful skills while taking part in fun activities.
