VISITORS to a Worcester supermarket have helped raise more than £7,000 for St Richard's Hospice.
The hospice was the charity partner of the year for Sainsbury's in Blackpole, which mean the hospice benefitted from support from the store's staff and customers throughout the year.
A cheque for £7,909 was presented to the hospice shortly after the Art In Minds Foundation was announced as the store's partner for the coming year.
Rachel Jones, fundraising manager at St Richard’s Hospice, said: “We were absolutely delighted to be chosen as Sainsbury's charity of the year and have very much enjoyed working with the team over the last year. Everyone has been so generous, raising an amazing amount of money to help St Richard’s continue to offer compassionate care to patients at the end of their lives and support their loved ones.”
