CHILDREN are being invited to take part in the Playday event in Stourport - a fun-filled celebration of play activities.
The free event will take place at Lickhill Memorial Park on Wednesday, August 5, from 11am to 3pm.
It has been organised by Wyre Forest District Council.
Lickhill Memorial Park will be transformed into an outdoor playground where children, young people and families can have a fun-filled day and take part in the annual, national celebration of children's right to play.
Kazzum Theatre, as previously featured in Kidderminster Arts Festival, will be keeping the crowds entertained with their show ‘Nana’s Jumble’.
There will also be donkey rides, a mini fairground, swing chairs, face-painting, a range of sports activities and a selection of refreshments including a chance to make your own healthy smoothie.
Entry is free but there will be a small charge for some activities.
Councillor Sally Chambers, Wyre Forest District Council’s cabinet member for health, well-being and housing said:
“National Playday is a fantastic event which brings families within the local community together.
"The annual event has plenty to offer and is always a big hit with families every year.
"We look forward to seeing you there.”
