SOME runners would take a well-deserved rest after completing a 13.1-mile race.
But, fresh from completing the Worcester half-marathon, two fitness fanatics are planning to double their efforts by taking on a full marathon.
The intrepid pair will complete the Stratford Marathon on Sunday (April 26) and raise money for two good causes.
Tracey Canning, 50, will run for Marie Curie and has a personal connection with the charity.
She said: “They were a great help to my nephew Simon Langston and his family during his six month battle with terminal brain cancer.
“Simon tragically passed away last November aged 32 and I’m keen to raise as much money as possible."
Similarly Julie Parker, 37, has a sad story behind her decision to fundraise for Myeloma UK.
“I am raising money for Myeloma UK in memory of a friend Dave Sinnett who sadly lost his fight with myeloma in November last year at the age of 46”, she said.
