YOUNGSTERS in Worcester are invited to try their hands at flower arranging this weekend.

The Worcester Floral Arrangement Society Junior Club is celebrating its 15th anniversary this month and is appealing for potential new members to come along to its regular monthly meeting at Hallow Village Hall in Crown Lane on Saturday, April 18, running from 10am until 11.30am.

Visitors will be able to watch members create stunning floral arrangements while lending their hands to creating attractive displays of their own.

The group is open to boys and girls aged between eight and 17 and members have the opportunity to work towards a nationally-recognised qualification.

In the past members of the club have shown off their work at events such as the Chelsea Flower Show.

The club, which meets at the hall on the third Saturday of each month, is part of the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies, which was formed in 1959 and boasts more than 65,000 members.

No booking is needed – anyone interested is welcome to come along to the meeting.
