A DRIVER has raised concerns about safety on a Worcester road after children were spotted standing in the carriageway.
Peter Key was driving along Woodgreen Drive, in Warndon Villages when the incident happened.
Thanks to a camera on his dashboard he captured the moment cars drove within feet of a child at 6pm last Wednesday.
She was standing on the wrong side of a crash barrier, installed while road works take place along the street, and talking to a group of children stood the other side of the barrier.
Mr Key, aged 67, of Malvern, who commutes to Warndon daily, said: “I was horrified to be faced with an extra hazard when driving through the road works.
“These youngsters have placed themselves - and motorists - in considerable danger.
“I had to slow down quickly while the car in front of me had to swerve out of the way.
“It is a busy road so there could have been an accident."
The photographs provided are stills taken from the video and the faces of the children have been blurred.
