TRAVEL could be disrupted by strong winds as The Met Office issued a warning beginning tonight.

The Met Office warned that strong winds are expected to run from tonight at 7pm until 7pm Tuesday.

It issued a yellow "be aware" warning today for strong westerly winds across Worcestershire.

Strong westerly gusts at speeds of up to 60mph are expected tonight with isolated gusts in exposed areas reaching up to 70mph.

The wind will become northwesterly tomorrow morning and, although easing for a time, will become very gusty through the day, particularly near showers.

Worcestershire County Council’s Highways Teams have been put on standby.
