A TEENAGER sofa surfing at a friend's house which was raided by police was found to have about £400 worth of cocaine and cannabis on him.
Police executed a search warrant at a house in Malvern on Friday, October 10 and found drugs on the floor and in a jacket, said Owen Beale, prosecuting.
Simon Marriott, of Ranelagh Road, Malvern initially denied possession of the Class A and Class B drugs but asked to be reinterviewed where he admitted ownership.
The 19-year-old pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine, worth between £150 to £200, and cannabis, worth £200 to £240, at Worcester Magistrates Court.
Mark Lister, defending, said Marriott was using drugs in a social context.
"He has since spoken to his family and girlfriend and they have dissuaded him from using drugs."
District judge Nigel Cadbury fined him £110 for cocaine possession, £75 for cannabis possession, £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.
