A WAR hero from Worcester who accused one of his superior officers of harassment has had his complaint upheld.
Paratrooper Tom Neathway from Crowle lost both his legs and his left arm while serving in Afghanistan with the 2nd battalion of the Parachute Regiment in 2008.
Corporal Neathway, a former pupil of Bishop Perowne High School and St Barnabas Primary, claimed a superior officer had told him “You’re not much of a paratrooper any more, are you?” when he returned to active duty after recovering from his injuries.
Today it was announced a complaint made by Corporal Neathway following the incident had been upheld by the Ministry of Defence.
He left the army last year and in 2012 carried the Olympic torch as it travelled through Worcester.
Corporal Neathway was unavailable for comment today.
