AUGUST is a quiet month for Stoke Prior WI. However we did have our usual lunch date and two trips out.
The first outing was to Shrewsbury Flower Show.
In spite of the weather being rather wet, everyone agreed that it had been a fabulous day – and came back carrying lots of plants and flowers.
The second outing was to Jewson Gardens and Grotto near Chepstow. It was a very unusual garden and quite magical. After lunch we went on to Monmouth before having a good journey back home We have lots of trips, theatre visits and lunches planned for the coming months as well as our monthly meetings with interesting speakers. We meet at Stoke Prior Village Hall on the first Thursday of the month at 2pm.if you would like to know more please ring our president Val Dowler 0121 439 1354 or come along to the meeting.
