ROTARY’S district governor, Paul Jaspal, started his visit to the Rotary Club of Droitwich Spa on Tuesday, July 7 by viewing Rotary House in Corbett Avenue.

He was welcomed by the recently appointed club president, John Bodger, other Rotarians and by members of the Probus Club of Droitwich Spa who had been using the premises that morning.

Paul, a Warwick postmaster, joined the Rotary Club of Warwick in 1998 and has been an active member at all levels of the organisation.

His district, 1060, includes 63 clubs across the West Midlands with around 1,650 members. His wife, Bala, is a member of the Rotary Club of Yardley and Sheldon.

During lunch at St.

Andrew’s Town Hotel, Paul presented awards in memory of Rotary international’s founder, Paul Harris, to two club members, Helen Karakashian and Roger Harris, for distinguished Rotary service.

Paul concluded his trip to Droitwich by calling in at the re-opened Witton Post Office for a chat with the proprietor, Raj Patel.
