ON the sunny morning of June 12, Spadesbourne Ladies boarded a coach for an outing to the Cotswolds.
Brian Draper MBE presided over the tour, which was both interesting and amusing.
There is little Brian doesn’t know about the Cotswolds.
There was a stop at the garden centre for coffee, Stowon- the-Wold for lunch and to round off the enjoyable day, there was afternoon tea at a farm in Chedworth.
The club has had some excellent speakers this year – the last two being Hot Wheels - Cold Meals from Rosemary Processor and Music, Mischief and Mirth from Nonny James.
Rosemary opened her talk with the saying laughter is the best medicine in life and we have certainly had our quota of medicine with Rosemary and Nonny.
We have more speakers booked for July and September and in October, Brian Draper will be giving a talk – Water over my Wellies.
Please give Jill Betterton a call on 01527 872601 if you would like any further information on the club. Visitors are always welcome and hopefully you may then join us permanently as a member.
