AFTER our summer break, during which we visited Laskett Gardens and met Sir Roy Strong, enjoyed an inspiring visit to Hatfields Interiors, a day out to the Wye Valley, a theatre visit to see the fabulous Lion King production and our garden visit to Dunclent with lunch at the Fox Inn at Chaddesley, we were back to our September meeting in the village hall.

Our speaker was Steve Soden who is a trained therapist having a mobile business working in the home and also at business premises where employers use his therapies to relive stress in the workplace. Three of our members volunteered for the treatments – Gill for the Indian head massage which is thousands of years old and said to reduce stress and improve circulation and give a mental uplift; Lynden for the seated acupressure massage introduced from America and said to be an immediate stress buster, and Sue who enjoyed the reflexology that was introduced to Britain in the 1960s and uses thumb and finger pressure on the foot and can help the body to heal itself and improve circulation.

The three all seemed more relaxed afterwards as did all of us watching. Our next meeting is on Thursday, October 3, when we have our harvest lunch with entertainment afterwards.
