Neighbourhood Watch

REPRESENTATIVES from North Worcestershire neighbourhood watch groups met at the Council Chamber, Bromsgrove, in order to meet the new superintendent of North Worcestershire, Kevin Purcell, who was accompanied by Chief Inspector Helen Bennett.

Blackwell Concert Band

11:00am Saturday 27th April 2013

Blackwell Concert Band, which is now based in Catshill, are about to embark on an incredibly busy 2013 playing season. With a record number of bookings, the band is out playing most weekends at a wide variety of venues in Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands. Highlights of this year include entertaining tourists at the bandstand in Stratford-Upon-Avon, entertaining cider and beer drinkers at Bromsgrove Beer Festival and playing to peacocks at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens in Edgbaston.

MARY opened the meeting saying that several members were absent mainly through illness, this included Maggie, our secretary and pianist. However, we all managed to sing Jerusalem unaccompanied, which didn’t sound too bad.
