YOUNGSTERS at a Droitwich school have raised over £2,000 by doing over 1,000 hours of sport in just one day.
Children at Chawson First School were visited by Paul Edwards from Droitwich Rugby Club and representatives from the town’s football club and tennis club on Friday, March 19.
Enthusiastic pupils spent the day playing different sports and activities to raise the funds in aid of Sport Relief. Pupils were challenged to complete 1,000 hours of sport by school PE coordinator Mel Jones.
They also enjoyed yoga, aerobics and dance throughout the day as well as completing the Sport Relief mile.
