A PUBLIC meeting has been organised to discuss plans to redevelop a closed swimming pool into a hostel and affordable housing.

The talk on the future of Sansome Walk swimming pool will take place in Worcester Baptist Church, in Sansome Walk, at 7.30pm on Monday.

Residents are concerned that some neighbours may attend a parking scheme consultation event instead of the pool discussion.

However county councillor Matthew Jenkins has now rescheduled the meeting for earlier in the evening to avoid a clash.

His meeting about parking permits in the Arboretum will start at 6.45pm in The Chestnut pub and should only last for 30 minutes.

Worcester City Council decided to sell the old swimming pool to Sanctuary Housing and the YMCA in March.

The joint development will create 76 YMCA units and 22 two-bedroom shared ownership homes.
