STAFF at a Droitwich Spa store have teamed up a cancer charity to help raise funds for the cause.
Workers at Wilkinson, based in St Andrews Square, celebrated the launch of the partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support with a series of fundraising events that made more than £580.
In support of the new partnership with the charity, which helps to improve the lives of people affected by cancer, team members held a charity exercise bike ride in store. They cycled the equivalent of 123 miles, raising over £330 in the process and also held a tea party in store during the jubilee weekend, which raised over £250.
Sarah Kerlew, store manager, said: “We couldn’t be more pleased that we are supporting Macmillan Cancer Support, which we as a team nominated as our regional charity of the year.
“At Wilkinson we have always been avid charity supporters and have supported Children’s Hospices UK, Anthony Nolan and Age UK and we are really pleased to now be supporting Macmillan Cancer Support within our region. We can’t wait to raise even more money for them so that we can help make a difference in our local community.”
