A POPULAR job fair will be returning to Droitwich next week.

The free event, organised by Fortis Living and which originally began after the closure of the town’s job centre, is being held at the library in Victoria Square this Tuesday.

The event takes place between 11am until 1pm, and is believed to be the only job fair in Droitwich.

Nicola Tremble, employment support worker at Fortis Living, said: “As a housing association, we are keen to ensure that those residents who are seeking employment have the opportunities to do so.

"Such was the success of last year’s event that we have decided to run it again this year.

“There is limited opportunity for local employers to reach the job seeking community in Droitwich. "Similarly, job seekers from the town – with no access to a job centre – are required to make frequent trips to Worcester to meet agencies and training providers.

"This event is therefore of great benefit to the community.”

The event is open to all job seekers. Business representatives from a variety of sectors, including healthcare and housing, will be in attendance.

Fortis Living also has a dedicated team to help and support residents seeking employment, and runs weekly job clubs throughout Worcestershire.
