PEOPLE in Droitwich are being urged to report problems on the roads to Worcestershire County Council, after it was awarded a further £3.3 million from central Government to mend potholes.

More than 19,000 potholes have already been repaired across the county this year in response to calls and the Department of Transport’s National Pothole Fund has given out the extra money to continue the repair of Worcestershire’s roads.

Worcestershire County Council has repaired more than 19,000 potholes across the county so far this year and is encouraging people to keep reporting after being awarded £3.3 million from the Government.

Councillor John Smith, cabinet member for environment, said: "We continue to respond quickly to reports of potholes and would encourage residents and motorists to let us know about any problems.

"We have been successful in our bid for funding which needs to be spent by the end of March 2015, so I would urge anyone who sees any potholes to visit worcestershire.gov.uk/reportit and fill out the online form."

A tutorial video has even been uploaded to YouTube, specifically to take people through the steps of reporting a pothole. It can be viewed at youtube.com/watch?v=eGTyzUXcPtg.Beagle14.
