PHILIP Dunne, who now holds an Environment role after leaving Government. has welcomes news of more action to reduce the use of plastics.
The Ludlow MP has welcomed government moves to ban the sale of plastic straws, drink stirrers and plastic cotton buds.
At the Commonwealth Heads of Government conference, the Government made a call to countries to join it in tackling plastic pollution, by eliminating avoidable plastic waste. The UK has pledged £61.4 million for global research to improve waste management in developing countries.
Mr Dunne met primary school Year 6 pupils in Parliament who had recently helped clean a beach on the south coast, working with Keep Britain Tidy,
