THERE is a chance to recognise people and organisations that have made a special contribution to the life of Ludlow.

Past winners include community workers, a teacher and campaigners for health services in the town as well as groups with all ages reflected in the awards over the years.

Ludlow Town Council would like to receive the names of local people and community groups who have undertaken voluntary work of an outstanding nature for the community.

The work may have been for a single event, or for a period of exceptional service over several years.

A key qualification for the award should have undertaken the work for the benefit of people in Ludlow.

There are three awards:

• for people over 18 - Civic Award

• for people under 18 - Young Persons’ Civic Award

• Community Group –Civic Award

To make a nomination please apply to the Town Clerk for an application form or download one from www.ludlow.gov.uk.

Nominations should reach the Town Clerk by Tuesday, May 1 at 12.30pm. The Town Council will consider all nominations at their meeting on Wednesday May 9.

The Awards will be presented at the Mayor Making Ceremony on Wednesday, May 23 at 7.00pm at the Assembly Rooms.
