Synthesis 2018 is Hereford College of Arts' summer showcase and celebration of talent.

Separated into three strands - the Degree Show, shows in Foundation Diploma in Art & Design and College-level Art & Design, as well as music and performances.

The Degree Show runs at the College Road Campus from tomorrow, Saturday, June 9, and is open daily (except Sundays), while the Foundation Art & Design show runs from June 9 to 23 at Pigott Close, and the College-level Art & Design show runs from June 23 to 27, with Year 1 exhibiting at College Road and Year 2 and Level 2 at Folly Lane.

Students will be showcasing more than visual arts, with performances including a production of Cabaret: The Musical by Level 3, Year 2 students at Folly Lane on June 12 (7pm) and June 13 (1pm and 7pm); BA Hons Performing Arts students presenting The Little Black Fish on Friday, June 15 at 1pm - the students have interpreted this Persian story written by Samad Behrangi, in collaboration with The Fetch Theatre Company, using puppets created especially by Contemporary Design Craft students to create a show about freedom, self-determination, courage and power. It’s about a little fish who dares to swim against the tide.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, June 19 and 20, Level 3, year 1 performing arts students will present Mobile Phone Show, a contemporary play using mobiles and projections to bring several entwined stories to life.

And on Tuesday June 26, from 3.30pm to 5pm, there will be an After-school Arts Trail at the Folly Lane campus, offering fun and arty prizes for families with children aged 5 to 11.
