GLOUCESTERSHIRE Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed a serious road accident involving a truck and a motorbike, at Corse.

The motorcyclist, who has not been named by police, suffered serious injuries and had to be treated at the scene by an emergency doctor and medical team, before he was moved to hospital.

The collision took place on the A417 Ledbury Road at Corse, just outside the BP filling station, at 8.30pm on Wednesday March 28.

Afterwards, the accident scene was closed overnight, so police investigators could set to work.

The incident involved a silver Toyota Hilux pickup truck, driven by a 52 year old lady from Eldersfield and a red, white and blue Honda motorcycle ridden by a 19 year old man from Maisemore.

A police spokesman said: "The motorcyclist was treated immediately at the scene by an off duty accident and emergency doctor, prior to the arrival of paramedics.

"He was taken by ambulance to Southmead Hospital, Bristol where his condition is described as critical. The two female occupants of the Toyota pickup truck were uninjured."

The spokesman added: "The road was closed at the scene to allow officers from the Tri- Force Specialist Operations Collaboration unit to conduct a thorough investigation."

The road was was reopened again until the early hours of Thursday morning, March 29.

The spokesman said: "The investigation team would like to hear from any witnesses who have not already been spoken to.

"Please call 101 quoting incident number 465 of March 28, 2018."
